Minimum supported version is MyTheatre 3.x - Recommended setup is to use FFDshow for playback of media content. - Remember to configure Favorites in MyTheatre, these are essential for MyMceSat, As the "All channels" list is left out, due to the huge amount of channels it needs to load. Windows Media Rollup 2 MyTheatre 3.x If you get explorer errors when you open the MyMceSat, its because you did not install the Media Center Rollup 2 update from Microsoft. Download the rollup 2 update from Microsoft at Download MCE Rollup 2 If you have no sound in MCE when the picture shows up, it can be caused by several reasons. - The channel is playing AC3 sound, and you have redirected AC3 through the SPDIF In this case you need to either choose a different sound channel(SID) or change windows setup so its played locally, if it possible with your hardware. - the channel is currently set to a SID which has no audio available. Go into MyTheatre and rightclick the current channel, select "update from sat", and select ok after the update. rightclick and choose the sound channel below. - the codec used for MPEG sound is not available. Install FFDshow, which supports MPEG audio playback. You have not confired MyTheatre correctly, or you have used an old version of MyMceSat, where you manually need to copy files into the respective places. - Download the latest release of MyMceSat and install this. - Configure the plugins - MyMceSat plugin configuration - Enter the ip address 127.0.0.1 into the "network settings" -> address - In "network protocol" enable "HTTP/RTSP"
If you have changed the original "index.htm" settings in the mce, these settings will need to be changed in MyTheatre as well.
From version 0.2 Always broadcast is ALWAYS needed, as the old
broadcast plugin is not in use anymore. You have not configured any Favorite channels in MyTheatre, please rightclick on channels you wish to use with MyMceSat, and choose a favorite group to put it into. If MyTheatre is closed, you can open the Channels.mdb file with MS Access, and edit the "Favorite" table, and change the names of each favorite group.
If Windows Media center does not show any picture within the mce,
you can start by testing , if you can see the picture within Windows
Media Player.
Try to enter this line into WMP: MyMceSat://port:5000
If you get any problems here, it indicates that Mytheatre plugins
are not configured correctly.
Please review the readme for the configuration of the plugins
once more.
No, the broadcast plugin does not work at this stage
between two machines.
But,
If you wish to just have the picture and audio viewed remotely,
then it is possible indeed.
On your remote machine enter this in you configuration or
internet explorer
IP address { ip address of MCE machine}:
UDP port 5000
Another solution is also to use
http://{ ip address of MCE machine}:8000/dvbcore.mpg
